He was born in Ä°stanbul in 1936.
His first cartoons appeared in local magazines namely Karakedi (Blackcat) and Hafta (Week) in 1952.
Since then his cartoons have been published in local and foreign press.
He took part with his four friends in forming the group called United Cartoonist in 1975.
He also participated in two private exhibitions with the group in 1975 and 1978.
One of his cartoons was selected for exhibition permanently by the cartoon museums in Italy (Tolentino), Poland (Warsaw) and Bulgaria (Gabrovo).
He also opened private exhibitions in Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
He won various prizes in different categories in the following International cartoon contests:

He got two cartoon albums named [Karmakarđżđk] and [Kelamsđz] where collection of his cartoons were published in 1984 and 2001.
He was honored with a prize by the Association of Press Information headed by the prime Ministry of Turkey for his endless contributions to the development of the art of cartoon in Turkey over the last 30 years.
Until recently his cartoons on political issues were published in daily newspapers namely Akżam, Güneż, Cumhuriyet, Barometre and Global.
He was also elected as a jury member for the Contest of Nasrettin Hodja held in 1975, 1997 and 1999.
He was elected as the chairman to the Association of Turkish cartoonists for one year in 1995.
His studies as a free cartoonist have been in continuous progress so far. His cartoons are being published in the magazines called Deļiżim and Bizim Sanat.
He is married and has two children.
