Kim (1968) is a comic strip drawer, cartoonist and illustrator.
His cartoons
and comic strips are/were published in a lot of magazines and news-
papers in Belgium, Holland and France. (P-Magazine, De Morgen, NRC Handelsblad, Knack,
Zone 5300, L'echo des savanes,...).
Kim released also 10 books (6 comic stripcomics of babe Esther and 1 of
Aldegonne, 3 cartoonbooks and 1 "fairy-tales-for-adults"-album for which he asked 17 known writers to write the stories and Kim made the drawings).
He does a lot of music (he runs the small "It's a lama! Recordings" -label)and live-performances as well.
Kim studies were: animationfilm in Gent (1988-1993)
Prizes:
- De Gouden Harpij (Raoul Servais) for "Instinctus" 5 min.-animation movie (1993)
- De stripschapspenning in Holland for Esther album 3 (The best humoristic album in 2006)
- The Flemish Cultural award for best comic strips-oeuvre (2007).
