ŽARKO LUETIĆ ŽAR

Born 1951 in Zupa, Croatia.
Graduated School of Elektrical Engineering 1975 in Split.
Manager of the Working Procedures in the company “Telcom” – Split.
Maried.Family : wife and two daughters (age 26, 18).

My cartoons (caricatures) have been published in the local daily newspaper
“Slobodna Dalmacija” for twenty nine years now.
My own exhibitions were organized in Split (1978, 1980) in Slavonski Brod (1989)
Since 1972 I have been taking part in the International Exhibitions of cartoon in
many places : Skopje,Sarajevo,Novi Sad,Ljubljana,Slavonski Brod,Zagreb,Split,
Marostica,Vercelli,Bordighera,Duisburg,Hanover,Knokke Heist,Beringen,Amstelveen
Athens,Gabrovo,Ankara,Montreal,London,Tokyo.

I was awarded in the following International Exhibitions of cartoons :

SKOPJE 1974 The second Prize Silver Medal
ZAGREB 1976 Special Prize by Magazine “Studio”
BELGRADE 1977 The third Prize Bronze Medal
MAROSTICA 1983 The second Prize
MAROSTICA 1984 The second Prize

I initiated issuing the first humoristic magazine “ Zulj” 1995 in the independent
state of Croatia.
I was the author of the symbol, representing Association of Croatian cartoonists in
Zagreb.
I illustrated two books about computers and two books of aphorism.
Sometimes, I paint in oil.
