Canada can be frightening on the outside, depending on where you live. If mum lives in the north you could be attacked by polar bears or... caribou. If you live in the south you could be knifed by gangs or tasered by the police.

Also, it depends on the time of the year. In the winter it's expensive to run the furnace, in the summer it costs lots to run the air conditioning. Why not get mum to pay the bills?
