Es ist schon fast zur Regel geworden, das Deutschland alle 4 Jahre im Spätsommer, eine beinahe unerträgliche Welle heisser Luft durchzieht, die sich im frühen Herbst endlich in einem Prognosegewitter und der Kür des Gewinners in den Wahlstudios entlädt. Was meistens von quälend nichtssagenden Kommentaren hiesiger Politiker noch einmal stark gedämpft wird, so das auch wirklich niemand zu Schaden kommt.

Genannt wird das ganze dann Demokratie.

English Translate:

It's nearly became a rule, that every 4 years in late summer a nearly unbearable wave of hot air is streaming through the land, which ultimately leads into a thunderstorm of election forecasts and the honouring winner of all these trouble.
This is companied by a bunch of nasty empty phrases of local politicians, absorbing the worst storm, preventing anyone from getting really harmed.

Now that's what we call Democracy.
