Selected Cartoon
One Night in One Thousand
There are rare moments in which art and politics in a caricature merges to almost perfection. This picture by Marcelo Rampazzo is one such an example. No malicious provocation like some Mohammed cartoons, plump and transparent, but a highly sophisticated dispute at the level of a cultural dialogue. Or to say it with a modified famous quote: stirred, not shaken. At the same time of a heart-rending, nearly childlike naivety, as if it were a picture from a fairy tale book. That would exactly the way a Muslim child would ask: What kind of face does the woman behind the veil have? Is she laughing or crying? Marcello Rampazzo lets an oriental teller of tales answer. He paints a smiley on the women's chador. However, whether they are really laughing or living in a dark prison, we will never know. The truth is only one of many mysteries from the thousands and one nights. And ultimately, Scheherazade's life is saved. This is truly great. We salute you, Marcello!

Só agora vi esse seu desenho.
Achei-o muito bom.
Gostaria de utilizá-lo num trabalho que faço em sociologia que analisa a caricatura como forma de resistência ao autoritarismo. Darei, evidentemente, os devidos créditos.

I have no words to describe how I feel happy with those words mainly from the place where virtual house is the largest of the cartoons ..
It is those things that motivate me more to work hard so that I can express even better to generate increasingly thinking and always with great humor.
