There are not many cartoons about fishermen on toonpool.com and just some few more about evolution — a theory created by Charles Darwin who would celebrate his bicentennial this year.

Hence this nice cartoon »evolution« by andart is the only one where the angler meets the ammonites and archaeopteryx rebels, those repudiated castaways, courageous jurassic and tertiary punks who had to leave their familiar home puddles.
So what are we doing? Some of us are always in a hurry, roaring down the streets with a coffee to go in the hand on the way to work. The other ones are loitering through the day, quiet and exhausted of modern life, maybe sitting at a nice little place fishing and thinking about if Darwin was right.

And the Darwin in their heads would say, don't praise the Lord, praise the blue-green algae and the Cro-Magnon.
