In this Editorial cartoon for THE WAVE NEWSPAPER, I illustrated an article highlighting the good news that the summer crime rate had gone down in The Rockaways for the summer. It was as if Crime took a holiday. I figured that if Death took a Holiday, then maybe crime had a right to take some much needed time off too. It's great playing with familiar cliches... what would us artists do without them.

This is my latest editorial cartoon for the fist week in August for The Wave Newspaper in Far Rockaway. This toon accompanied an article that put the much needed spotlight on illegal debt collectors who scam millions of New Yorkers outta their hard earned cash , having them pay money on debts that they dont even owe! I had BIG fun doing this illustration, and i gues it shows!

Diversity

These series of caricatures juxtaposed together was originally for another illustration project. As i began tweaking them in Photoshop, this whold diversity theme kept resonating within me and became an unexpected inspiration for this piece. I Guess like everyone else, as corny as it sounds, I really do want world peace....

Maybe it's all this talk about Swine Flu that has me so on edge and is making me think about pork chops, Bacon, and Bar B Q Ribs everytime I ride public transportation. I swear Im gonna scream the next time someone sneezes in my direction! I drew this guy on a queens bound bus while he as glaring at this other guy who was talking to HIS girlfriend..... maybe NOT his for long! LOL!!! this little piggy was angry!!!

I was watching the movie, Planet of The Apes, when I remembered that I had drawn this "ape man" on a Queens bound bus. I felt so inspired by the movie that I refined the sketch while watching. Any one Got a Bananna for this monkey?

My recent editorial cartoon drawn for The Wave Newspaper in NYC. A couple of more schools have recently been closed in The Queens Section of NYC due to new outbreaks.... and we're worried aobut terrorists from the Mid EAST????

I dont know WHO this guy is, or what he does, but just by the LOOK of him, I'd bet dollars to donuts that he's SOME type of BOSS or SUPERVISOR! He just has that cunniving, petty, nitpicking "look" about him, like he's constantly minding someone's business, or writing someone up.

Decided to color her in. I posted her previously in blk and wht but decided to add some color. She had those stunning blue hazel greenish eyes, red hair and freckles. I HAD to re do it in color!!

I saw him on a Manhattan bound train, lost in thought, staring into space. No doubt he was wondering if he should buy the one dollar coffee from the the street vendor, instead of the twenty dollar double mocha hazelnut latte with whipped cream that he usually buys from Starbucks. In these tough economic times sacrifices MUST be made to uct corners!

Susan Boyle closed the mouths of cynics with her captivating voice on the show, Britain's Got Talent" a few weeks back. Her soaring vocals contrasted with her jarring appearance, and made all of us a little ashamed in judging a book by its cover. Whatever happens to her, she is definitely destined for stardom and has the whole world behind her.

unknown to many, Ariel's little brother, Andrew also auditioned for the lead in The Little Mermaid.... but Hollywood wasnt quite ready for him to take center stage...He does have nice hair, doesnt he?

Continuing on with the mermaids series, heres poor Ariel many years after the Little Mermaid Movie. Tha fans are long gone, Disney ahs gone on to other projects, and poor Ariel, has lost her bod, most of her hair and her looks! Beauty doesnt last forever, and Father time knocks everyone upside the head

I was on the bus in Staten Island NY and saw this girl sitting in front of me with the strangest look on her face. She seemed to be staring into space with her lips parted and looked kinda sleepy.... I didnt think she was drunk or high, so I reasoned that she thought she looked "sexy" in some way. I couldnt help but laugh to myself. She had this MASSSIVE mane of curly hair that seemed to be everywhere!!

Caricature of a Japanese artist I drew while he was busy drawing. You cant tell his race though because his mop of hair completely covered his eyes at certain angles he also had a loooooooong face.

I was drawing someone ELSE on the train when these two guys entered and was so engaged in conversation with each other that their voices dominated the entire subway car. What was even funnier was that they were both SOOOOOO anxious to get their points across that they were talking to each other at the same time at points and actually following each others conversations. Now thats what I call multi tasking! who knew that you could listen AND talk at the same time?

I saw this guy while drawing caricatures on the street one summer and literally stopped him and asked him to pose. He had SUCH a BIGGGGG Mustache that I couldnt wait to draw his picture and did it free of charge. This thing was so big he probably had to ahsmpoo it once a week
