Russia’s parliamentary election is taking place from September 18–20, 2026. The vote will determine the 450 seats in the State Duma and is the first parliamentary election since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Most openly anti-war candidates have been excluded from the contest, while the liberal Yabloko party was removed from the national party ballot by Russia’s Supreme Court.
