Mr. Abu Hasna warns that one million children in the area are now at risk of acute malnutrition.
He adds that 90 percent of families do not have access to safe drinking water, and the catastrophic consequences of hunger are now affecting not only children but the entire population of the strip.
“What is happening now is the deliberate use of hunger as a weapon. The people of Gaza are not only suffering from hunger and thirst, but they are also facing the spread of infectious diseases and epidemics due to the collapse of basic services,” Mr. Abu Hasna says.
