The first bomb, called "Little Boy", exploded in the sky over Hiroshima, reducing a city full of life and people to ruins in a matter of seconds. Three days later, the "Fat Man" bomb targeted Nagasaki, once again causing an unprecedented disaster.
The memory of the victims of these two explosions is still alive in the minds of the Japanese people today. Those who managed to survive are called "Hibakusha"; those who carried the physical and mental scars of this disaster with them for the rest of their lives. They are not only a symbol of pain and suffering, but also a symbol of peace and a warning to the world that such tragedies should never be repeated.
