US President Donald Trump has announced the construction of a new class of warships for the US Navy that will bear his name. The ships of the so-called “Trump class” will have a displacement of up to 40,000 tons and will be equipped with guns and missiles. Trump made the announcement yesterday at a press conference at his private estate Mar-a-Lago in the US state of Florida.
